Edmonton Oilers Vs Vancouver Canucks Last Game

Oilers Eliminate Canucks with Game 7 Victory

Late Vancouver Push Falls Short

Nugent-Hopkins, Hyman, Ceci Lead Scoring

The Edmonton Oilers advanced to the Western Conference Final with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks in Game 7 of their second-round playoff series Monday night.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins netted the eventual game-winning goal midway through the second period, while Zach Hyman and Cody Ceci also scored for the Oilers. Vancouver's Elias Pettersson and Conor Garland found the back of the net for the Canucks, but it wasn't enough to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Oilers weathered a late Vancouver charge, which included a goal by Garland with just 2:30 remaining. However, Edmonton goalie Jack Campbell made several key saves down the stretch to seal the victory.

Nugent-Hopkins' goal was his seventh of the playoffs, while Hyman and Ceci each recorded their fourth. The Oilers' power play went 1-for-3, while the Canucks were 0-for-2.

The Oilers will face the winner of the Colorado Avalanche-St. Louis Blues series in the Western Conference Final. Game 1 is scheduled for Wednesday night in Edmonton.
